​This year we will immerse ourselves in various historic notions of Atlantis conveyed through slides, videos, student drawing exercises and even Atlantis-inspired music. Young architects and storytellers will then work individually and together to design and construct an ancient island village society as it might have existed as part of the mythic continent. In addition to pv a collective riverfront landscape, each young architect will also design an elaborate, tall- masted sailing vessel or outlandish airship. These ships will be installed along the river “at-the-ready” for their inhabitants to escape when the continent starts to sink below the angry waters of the Atlantic ocean! Art, craft, design and plenty of social play will result in an exhibition, including a 35 foot river with real running water worthy of a Grand Tour for parents and friends! After the river camp exhibition, each child can take home their work to be played with and shared with others.
